The Steinbrenners and Muschenheims are friends since 1968 when the Steinbrenners settled in Chicago. In the early eighties, the Muschenheims bought an old farmhouse on the Sheepshead peninsula and invited the Steinbrenners to visit. While in Ireland, the Steinbrenners selected a sight for their would be retirement home and Klaus moved to Ireland permanently in the year 2000. During the years the Muschenheims bought many sculptures and a bird bath. When the Steinbrenners left Ireland, one of of Klaus major stone sculptures found a place next to the original bird bath in Guni’s beautiful garden. In addition all three children: Nana, Ken, and Mark selected sculptures for their homes.
